Hey there, Innovation Nation!\u00a0 <\/span>I read a book recently by a Stanford University Professor, Carol Dweck.\u00a0 <\/span>The name of the book is Mindset: The New Psychology of Success.\u00a0 <\/span>Carol Dweck says,<\/p>\n

“If parents want to give their children a gift, the best thing they can do is to teach their children to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort, and keep on learning. That way, their children don’t have to be slaves of praise. They will have a lifelong way to build and repair their own confidence.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This approach to learning grows a student’s confidence and ability to explore.\u00a0 <\/span>In our Inventor’s Bootcamp experiences, students are taught this type of exploratory and challenging mindset.\u00a0 <\/span>We fill a room with 3D printers, embedded processors, sensors, 3D design software, and computers for programming, and then give the students a big challenge.\u00a0 <\/span>Every year, we never cease to be amazed at the creative solutions and capability demonstrated, as Carol Dweck has correctly predicted.<\/p>\n
